Aligner Tooth Movement

Our office provides Aligner Tooth Movement at affordable costs to you. Clear Correct™ aligner therapy will be an option for most patients wishing to improve their smile without braces. Every 3 weeks you will use a new aligner which gradually shifts your teeth to the proper position. Since the aligners are removable, it is extremely easy to maintain your normal home care routine. Worn approximately 22 hours per day, the aligners are removed only to eat, drink, brush and floss. Call to schedule a free consultation during your next cleaning appointment.

Traditional (Braces) Orthodontics

Orthodontics is tooth movement over a period of time. At some ages, it may be best for your child to have early intervention orthodontics, or orthopedic movement. In this type of treatment, an appliance is placed in your child's mouth while they are in a growth phase, to expand the jaws and make room for the permanent teeth to erupt. While rapid growth is taking place, this is not painful for the child at all. All they experience is a tightness when the appliance is adjusted or expanded. This can make braces later on last significantly less time, or possibly even become unnecessary. There are a number of different appliances available to treat all varieties of developmental problems. After a consultation, impressions, photos, and analysis, the dentist can determine which kind of right for your child.

Once all permanent teeth have erupted, most of the major growth that a child will experience is over. At this point, traditional orthodontics is the next step. By placing a bracket on each tooth, and running a wire through each bracket, we can position the teeth in an ideal alignment for proper function and beauty.

All forms of orthodontic tooth movement require lifetime retention for permanent stability.
